Crafting a Colorful Future: How Spaces For Growing is Promoting Biodiversity with Wildflower Seedbomb Workshops

Spaces For Growing recently had a fantastic time at Fluor Corporation in Farnborough, where we led a vibrant wildflower seedbomb crafting workshop for their amazing employees. This event was designed to highlight the serious decline of wildflower meadows and emphasize the vital role of pollination and biodiversity.

Fluor’s team rolled up their sleeves and dove into mixing clay, compost, and native wildflower seeds. They learned that pollination alone adds an incredible £690 million annually to the agriculture sector. Every seedbomb, whether planted in a small garden patch or a larger space, makes a significant impact!

We hit a major milestone with our 800th eco-warrior joining the cause at this event—what an achievement!

Since the 1950s, the UK has lost 97% of its wildflower meadows, crucial habitats for bees, butterflies, and birds. These workshops are a fun and effective way to help reverse this trend and bring back our beautiful wildflowers.

A huge thank you to Fluor for inviting us and showing such dedication to a greener future!

Thanks to Rushmoor Borough Council and Rushmoor Voluntary Services for helping kickstart our project
